The state of Ketosis is essential in the Keto diet, and even the smallest bit of sugar or carbs can prevent the dieter from reaching this state.
Benefits of Keto
Those who practice the Keto diet experience rapid weight loss in their first two weeks because their body releases the excess water in their body now that there are no more carbohydrates like bread or rice to trap it in their intestines. But that is normal. Keto dieters experience a boost of energy a few days after they start their diet. After two weeks, those on the Keto diet say their energy levels are strong and level throughout the day, and they no longer experience afternoon sluggishness.
Some women report that they don’t feel intense cramps when they have their period. Multiple scientific studies show that people who are on the Keto diet have less inflammation in their bodies than people on a regular Western diet, which means that their bodies are not as stressed.
If you struggle with overeating, then the Keto diet can assist you in this area. The high amounts of fat and a moderate amount of protein keeps you full for a long time. Plus, you have to eat fibrous vegetables at every meal, which extends the feeling of fullness even longer.

But what about coffee? Can those who are on the Keto diet drink coffee, or are they doomed to a life that is void of caffeine?
Actually, coffee is one of the best drinks to consume while on the Keto diet. The caffeine in the coffee helps boost your metabolism, so when you’re on the Keto diet and drink coffee, you are like a fat-burning machine. If you drink black coffee, it has practically no calories and absolutely no sugar. Any calories that coffee has comes from additional ingredients like milk, creamer, sugar, chocolate, caramel, etc. So as long as you drink plain coffee or coffee with a small amount of heavy creamer, you won’t ruin your diet. You can also add sugar-free syrups into your coffee if you need some flavor.
Many people who practice the Keto diet even place a slice of butter in their black coffee so they can hit their daily fat macros! The cream in the butter is a perfect creamer substitute, and it is thinner than heavy cream, which can take a while to get used to. But you have to use real butter; do not add margarine to your coffee. Your coffee will turn oily, and it will be unpleasant to drink.
There are so many wonderful benefits to the Keto diet that we wish it was a more popular diet. But we do understand why more people don’t try it out.

If you have an Oreo addiction, our Cookies and Creme Latte will satisfy your cravings with sugar-free vanilla syrup, along with sugar-free dark chocolate and dark chocolate syrup.
The Caramel Macchiato is the most popular drinks on the Starbucks menu, and we have the Keto Version! Get your caramel fix with sugar-free caramel syrup and sugar-free caramel drizzle!
If you want a drink that is light and sweet, you’ll love our Creme Brulee latte, which is made with sugar-free caramel syrup and drizzle. We also top this drink with a light dusting of Swerve, which is like a confectioner’s sugar, but it is sugar-free!
